LunIR - Lunar InfraRed Imaging
Lockheed Martin Space

LunIR is a CubeSat that includes a Mid-Wave Infrared (MWIR) sensor and micro cryo-cooler developed by Lockheed Martin. The mission for the satellite is to perform a lunar flyby and take IR images of the surface to characterize the Moon's thermal environment.

I was tasked with taking on the role of Systems Engineer to ensure all the customer requirements were met. I worked with cross-functional team members to verify each requirement and collect the results and data to prove our success. I managed the verification matrix that detailed each test, analysis, inspection, and the process each requirement was fulfilled.

We successfully completed over 60 requirements and delivered the payload to the partner company, Tyvak, to be integrated into the Bus. LunIR will be launched as a secondary payload on the Artemis I mission which is scheduled to launch Fall 2021. This program gave me experience in project management and helped me improve my organization and team skills.
